Pennsylvania has launched a new website in August 2025 to track the use of its $2.2 billion opioid settlement funds, with 70% going to counties, 15% to cities, and 15% to the state.
The site, created by researchers from Penn State, Temple, and the University of Pittsburgh, provides transparency on how funds are spent on overdose prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support.
As of December 2024, over $80 million had been used on approved programs, with payments expected to continue for 7–18 years.
The website aims to ensure funds are used for their intended purpose, support local innovation, and help counties learn from each other’s programs.
