Over a quarter of UK oil and gas workers plan to leave the industry due to poor conditions and lack of government support.
A survey by charity Platform reveals that over a quarter of UK oil and gas workers are considering leaving the industry, with 53% saying conditions have worsened in the past five years.
Among over 400 respondents, 95% believe the UK government is not doing enough to help them find new jobs, and 83% hold the same view about the Scottish government.
Workers cite poor morale, stagnant pay, and declining job satisfaction, with more than 70% interested in switching industries.
The survey calls for fully-funded retraining, paid training time, and investment in clean energy and domestic manufacturing to support a just transition.
