American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden claimed gold in the women's 200 meters with a personal best of 21.68 seconds, becoming the first American woman to win both the 100- and 200-meter titles at the same world championships. Jamaica’s Bryan Levell finished third, and Great Britain’s Amy Hunt earned silver in the women’s race.
