84% of excavation is complete for Mumbai's underground bullet train station at Bandra Kurla Complex, the only such station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor.
The site, dug to a depth of 32.5 meters, will feature six platforms, three floors, and connections to Metro Line 2B and road networks.
The project, supported by Japan, involves 18.7 lakh cubic meters of earthwork, with 15.7 lakh already completed.
Upon completion, the corridor is expected to offer faster, safer, and more reliable travel between the two cities.
