Maharashtra mandates e-KYC for women's scheme benefits to prevent fraud and ensure eligibility.
The Maharashtra government has made e-KYC mandatory for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, requiring women aged 21-65 with family incomes under ₹2.5 lakh to complete the process by a two-month deadline.
The scheme provides ₹1,500 monthly, and e-KYC can be done online via ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
Annual e-KYC is required to continue receiving benefits, and failure to complete Aadhaar authentication may result in benefit suspension.
The move aims to ensure transparency and prevent ineligible recipients, including nearly 26.34 lakh men, from receiving funds.
