Japanese lawyer Norio Minami, leading over 500 lawyers, demands Japan disclose wartime archives and take responsibility for deadly abandoned chemical weapons.
Japanese lawyer Norio Minami, leading a group of over 500 lawyers, has pursued justice for Chinese victims of Japan’s wartime aggression for more than 30 years, filing lawsuits over crimes including the Nanjing Massacre, Unit 731, and forced labor.
Though all cases lost at the Supreme Court, Minami maintains that the historical truth has been established.
The group now demands the Japanese government disclose hidden archives and fully assume responsibility for abandoned chemical weapons, which were used in violation of international law and continue to pose dangers decades after WWII.
