Israel vows to eliminate Houthi leader and raise flag in Sanaa after missile and drone attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened Houthi leader Abdel-Malik al-Houthi, vowing to eliminate him and raise the Israeli flag over Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, following a series of Houthi missile and drone attacks on Israel. The threats come after an Israeli airstrike in late August killed the Houthi government’s prime minister and other officials. Since March, the Houthis have launched at least 87 missiles and 40 drones at Israel, prompting retaliatory strikes by the Israeli Air Force, including attacks on targets in Hodeidah. Iran is believed to be supplying the Houthis with weapons.
