A special whisky sour honoring Trump’s Scottish roots was served at a UK state banquet, though he didn’t drink it.
A bespoke transatlantic whisky sour cocktail, featuring a toasted marshmallow on a star-shaped biscuit, was served at a state banquet for US President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle.
The drink, blending Johnnie Walker Black with marmalade and pecan foam, honored Trump’s Scottish heritage and mother’s birth year, alongside vintage wines like Warre’s 1945 port and Hennessy 1912 cognac.
The sumptuous French-menu banquet included dishes such as watercress panna cotta and a vanilla ice cream bombe, with floral centerpieces from royal gardens.
Though Trump, a teetotaler, did not consume the drinks, the White House was informed of the selections.
The event, attended by 160 guests, featured 139 candles and 1,452 pieces of cutlery.
