SaskEnergy offers free high-efficiency furnaces to 50 low-income Saskatchewan households to cut heating costs and boost safety.
SaskEnergy has launched the Heating Affordability Program (HAP), offering free high-efficiency furnaces to up to 50 income-qualified households in Saskatchewan.
Eligible customers, who must be part of SaskPower’s Energy Assistance Program and have a furnace with less than 78% efficiency, will receive a new 96% AFUE furnace, a programmable thermostat, venting modifications if needed, and three filters.
The program, open until March 31, 2026, aims to reduce energy bills by up to $650 annually and improve home safety.
Rental properties and homes on First Nations are not eligible.
