A man missed buying $2,700 Prada jeans at a charity shop, sparking a search for the buyer.
Richard Pugh, a man who lost 29 kilograms and is now an avid thrift shopper, discovered a pair of unworn Prada jeans priced at $200 at a Red Cross op shop in Tamworth, Australia.
Unable to afford them initially, he returned later to find they had already been sold.
The salmon-colored jeans, which could be worth up to $2,700, prompted Pugh to write a letter to a local newspaper hoping to contact the buyer and negotiate a purchase.
The op shop, known to receive designer samples and returns, continues to draw attention for its high-end finds in the country music capital of Tamworth.
