Delhi High Court bans DUSU victory processions to prevent unrest and ensure election rules are followed.
The Delhi High Court has banned victory processions after the September 19 Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls.
Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela directed Delhi Police, the university, and civil authorities to enforce the order, warning that violations could invite contempt proceedings and suspension of elected office-bearers.
The move follows concerns over unrest, property damage, and past election irregularities.
The court also reiterated that candidates must maintain 75% attendance.
The case will be reviewed on September 19.
