Arizona flags fly at half-staff to honor two firefighters killed in a crash on Sept. 17–18.
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered state flags to be flown at half-staff on September 17 and 18 to honor two firefighters, Brenna Kulikowski and Damon Thompson, who died in a head-on crash on State Route 260 near Show Low.
The pair, both from the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District, were in an ambulance when another vehicle crossed the center line and struck them.
The driver of the other vehicle also died at the scene.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
Hobbs expressed condolences and urged public participation in the tribute.
