An 80-year-old man was stabbed during a home invasion in Winnipeg’s Templeton neighborhood on Monday evening, September 15, around 6:30 p.m. An armed intruder entered the home, assaulted the elderly couple—punching the woman and stabbing the man—before fleeing. The man was initially in unstable condition but later stabilized. Police arrested a 23-year-old intoxicated man nearby, who has been charged with break and enter to commit aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon. A knife was recovered. The suspect remains in custody.
