The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Cherokee County after a 25-year-old man, Chance Rowe, died following a high-speed pursuit across Adair and Cherokee counties.
The incident began when Rowe failed to stop during a traffic stop in rural Adair County, leading to a chase that ended in Welling, where his vehicle crashed.
After exiting the car and firing at officers, Rowe was shot and died despite on-scene medical efforts.
