Snoop Dogg's Auckland concert is canceled due to promoter Pato Alvarez's sex crime conviction and loss of name suppression.
Snoop Dogg's sole New Zealand concert, scheduled for September 20 in Auckland, has been canceled three days before the event.
The cancellation, attributed to circumstances beyond the promoter's control, follows the recent conviction of Pato Alvarez, the event's promoter, on sex crime charges.
Alvarez, who also led the company NZ Touring & Events Ltd, had been fighting to maintain name suppression, which was denied by the Supreme Court.
The show, set to feature Snoop Dogg and his DJ alter-ego DJ Snoopadelic, along with local acts Savage and Revus, will not proceed.
Ticket holders will receive automatic refunds through Eventfinda.
