Park Chan-wook's "No Other Choice" opens the 30th Busan International Film Festival, showcasing Asian cinema and emerging talent.
South Korean director Park Chan-wook's murder comedy "No Other Choice," starring Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin, will open the 30th Busan International Film Festival, Asia's largest film event.
This year marks the festival's first full competition lineup with 14 films, including four from South Korea.
The movie, based on Donald E. Westlake's novel "The Ax," follows a laid-off worker who targets job competitors.
The festival features 241 entries from 64 countries, including 90 world premieres, and includes a singalong screening of "KPop Demon Hunters."
It aims to spotlight emerging Asian talent and celebrated directors while emphasizing authentic representation of Asian cinema.
