Nick Green cycled 300 miles from London to Paris on his friend’s bike, raising nearly £5,000 for St Christopher's Hospice.
Nick Green, a West Wickham man, cycled 300 miles from London to Paris in memory of his best friend Steve, a London Fire Brigade member who died from oesophageal cancer.
Using Steve’s bike, Green completed the four-day journey and raised nearly £5,000 for St Christopher's Hospice, where Steve received care.
The ride was part of a larger fundraising effort that has raised almost £150,000 for the hospice, which supports over 7,000 people annually across five London boroughs.
Founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, the charity needs more than £19 million each year to continue its services.
