Mumbai builder accused of selling mortgaged properties without bank approval, defrauding Axis Bank of ₹16.49 crore.
A Mumbai builder, Paras Dedhia of Yash Builders, faces allegations of defrauding Axis Bank of over ₹16.49 crore by selling 18 mortgaged flats and one office unit without the bank’s consent.
The bank says Dedhia obtained a ₹20 crore loan in 2016, using properties as collateral, but sold them without required no-objection certificates, violating loan terms.
The Chembur Police have filed a case, and the matter is now under investigation by the Economic Offences Wing.
