Microsoft has disrupted Raccoon0365, a Nigerian-based phishing service that enabled cybercriminals to steal at least 5,000 Microsoft user credentials through fake login pages.
The company seized 338-340 websites linked to the operation, which operated via a private Telegram channel and generated at least $100,000 in cryptocurrency since July 2024.
With a U.S. court order, Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit disabled the service’s infrastructure, blocking access for criminals.
