In a separate incident in Pompano Beach, BSO deputies shot and killed an armed suspect who barricaded himself in a home and attacked a K-9 with a drone during a SWAT operation.
The suspect had been reported for suspicious activity and refused to surrender despite attempts to negotiate.
The Broward Sheriff's Office is also investigating that shooting.
