The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is hosting the UK’s first exhibition dedicated to Marie Antoinette, exploring her fashion legacy from 1770 until her death in 1793.
Featuring around 250 objects, including her footwear, jewelry, personal belongings, and items from the Palace of Versailles such as her prison chemise and a final note, the exhibit highlights her influence on 18th-century style and her enduring presence in modern fashion and film, including costumes from Sofia Coppola’s 2006 movie.
The exhibition runs from Saturday until March.
