Kazakhstan and the U.S. have strengthened nuclear cooperation, reaffirming commitments to safety and nonproliferation, including successful storage of spent fuel from a research reactor. At the IAEA General Conference, Kazakhstan and the IAEA agreed on a roadmap for collaboration through 2027, supporting the country’s nuclear energy development from site selection to decommissioning.
