Haigh's Chocolates has opened a $120 million facility in Salisbury South, South Australia, marking its largest investment in 110 years.
The 18,000m² site, powered by 1,180 solar panels and featuring 1.7km of chocolate delivery pipes and over 5km of storage, will boost annual chocolate production from 1,100 to 2,000 tonnes.
The expansion includes $30 million in new equipment and is expected to create around 100 new jobs in production, warehousing, and fulfillment over five years, with up to 400 people employed at the site.
The facility supports the company’s growth and distribution plans, including manufacturing Easter products next year.
