Decatur City Manager Tim Gleason resigned effective October 31, 2025, citing a hostile work environment linked to one council member’s actions, according to Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe.
The resignation follows less than a year and a half of Gleason’s second term, during which he led infrastructure upgrades, public safety efforts, economic development, and internal reforms.
While Moore Wolfe attributed the departure to disruptive requests from Councilman David Horn, Horn defended his conduct as part of his public service duties.
The city council now faces the task of selecting an interim manager and launching a search for a permanent replacement.
