Central Asia nations and Russia begin joint military drills to counter extremism and armed incursions.
Military exercises named "Rubezh 2025" have started in Kyrgyzstan involving troops from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, along with CSTO staff, to train rapid response forces against illegal armed incursions.
The drills, involving around 1,200 personnel and 500 units of equipment, focus on countering transnational threats and extremist infiltration in Central Asia.
Meanwhile, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine’s railways, disrupting transportation, while Russia's Foreign Ministry cited obstacles to peace progress after an Alaska summit, blaming war supporters for undermining efforts.
