Australian steelmaker BlueScope has cut its steelmaking greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 14% since 2018, with 52% of raw steel now made from recycled scrap.
It aims for net zero scope one and two emissions by 2050, targeting emissions below 1.3 tCO2-e per tonne by 2030.
The company reduced scope two emissions in 2025 while maintaining scope one emissions, and is advancing green technologies, partnerships, and renewable energy.
BlueScope also improved workplace safety, reducing recordable injuries to 363 in 2025.
