Australian farmers bought most of Proterra’s Queensland and NSW farmland for over $220 million.
Australian farming families have acquired the majority of Proterra Investment Partners' One Tree agricultural portfolio in southern Queensland and northern NSW, including the Umbercollie and 80% of the Jandowae aggregations, for over $220 million.
The portfolio, part of a 10-year exit strategy by the US-backed firm with ties to Cargill, was marketed in 2024 with a $250 million target.
Sales include the previously sold North Star Aggregation in NSW.
