Actress Paula Shaw, known for "Freddy vs. Jason," has died at 84.

Actress Paula Shaw, who played Jason's mother in "Freddy vs. Jason" and appeared in numerous TV shows and films, has died at 84. Born in the Bronx in 1941, she began her career as a teenager, performing in off-Broadway and summer stock productions before moving to Los Angeles. Shaw was a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio and taught acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She appeared in over 90 projects, including "The Bob Newhart Show," "Barney Miller," "Three's Company," "The Young and the Restless," and several Hallmark movies. Her final role was in the 2023 film "Round and Round." She is survived by her sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and godchildren.
