Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has reclaimed the No.
1 spot in the ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings after scoring 58 off 63 balls, including six fours and two sixes, in India’s opening match against Australia.
Her performance helped India secure a victory in the three-ODI series, marking her fourth time at the top of the rankings.
Mandhana, a left-handed opener, surpassed England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and became the seventh-highest run-scorer in Women’s ODI history with 4,646 runs in 106 matches, including 11 centuries and 32 fifties.
The achievement boosts India’s confidence ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup starting September 30.
