Orthocell's Remplir nerve repair device is being used in Australia to improve recovery after prostate surgery, with U.S. expansion planned.
Australian regenerative medicine company Orthocell has introduced its nerve repair device, Remplir, for use in nerve-sparing robotic-assisted prostate surgery in Australia, where it has been used in about 40 procedures to help improve erectile function and urinary continence recovery.
The company is collecting clinical data from these cases, with results to be released when available, and plans further research to support medical education and expand the device’s market.
Remplir aims to protect nerves during surgery and promote recovery, with rollout progressing in the U.S. market, which is valued at $1.6 billion.
