Mother Dairy, India's largest dairy cooperative, has reduced prices on various dairy and processed food products effective September 22, 2025, following a government Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate reduction. The company is passing on the full benefit of the tax cut to consumers, with price drops ranging from ₹2 to ₹30 depending on the product and packaging. Key reductions include UHT toned milk (₹75 from ₹77), paneer (₹92 from ₹95), butter (₹58 from ₹62), ghee (₹645 for 1L from ₹675), and Safal processed foods like frozen fries and coconut water. The change places most products under a nil or 5% GST slab, aiming to lower consumer costs and promote safe, packaged food consumption.
