Khapra beetle larvae were found in a batch of Little One's Ultra Dry Nappy Pants, Walker Size 5, sold nationally by Woolworths in Australia, prompting their removal from shelves. The imported product, supplied by a third-party company, is not an immediate health risk to humans but can cause skin irritation and allergies. Woolworths quarantined the product, launched an investigation with importer Ontex, and urged customers to seal any purchased nappies in a bag and contact biosecurity authorities instead of discarding them. The beetle, a serious threat to stored grain and dry food, was eradicated from Victoria in 2023, and stricter import rules were introduced in 2022 to prevent its return. No other sizes or products from the brand are believed to be affected.
