Ford is moving its world headquarters for the first time in 70 years to a new 2.1-million-square-foot facility in Dearborn, Michigan, named Ford World Headquarters, part of the Henry Ford II World Center.
Set to open in November, the campus aims to boost collaboration by colocating leadership, design, and engineering teams.
It will house 14,000 employees within a 15-minute walk, featuring six design studios, a 160,000-square-foot food hall, wellness and mothers’ spaces, and over 300 tech-enabled meeting rooms.
The current headquarters, known as the Glass House, opened in 1956 and will be demolished after the move, expected by mid-2026.
The new site, once the Product Development Center, was where iconic vehicles like the Mustang and F-Series were created.
The relocation follows General Motors’ move to downtown Detroit, as both companies modernize workspaces to attract talent.
