A fire at the Tobacco Brew & Chew in La Vergne, Tennessee, on Monday night caused significant smoke damage and briefly closed a nearby road. Fire crews arrived within minutes of the 9:06 p.m. call, controlling the blaze in about 10 minutes by entering through a connected Boost Mobile store. One person evacuated the tobacco store, and several others from adjacent Little Caesars left as a precaution. The full extent of the damage remains unknown, and a joint investigation by the La Vergne Fire Marshal and a Rutherford County Fire Department investigator is underway to determine the cause.
