Burger King permanently closed; McDonald's temporarily shut for renovations, reopening mid-October.

During the Tullamore Ploughing Championships, visitors were disappointed as both Burger King and McDonald's drive-thru locations were closed. Burger King at Cloncollig permanently shut down last month without notice. McDonald's is temporarily closed for extensive renovations including drive-thru upgrades, kitchen and dining area changes, and structural improvements, with a planned reopening in mid-October.
