flag Apple adds free satellite roadside help in Australia for iPhone 14+ users with iOS 18.4+.

Apple has expanded its free Roadside Assistance via Satellite service to Australia, available to iPhone 14 or later users with iOS 18.4 or later. The service allows users stranded off-grid to request help for vehicle issues like breakdowns, flat tires, or lockouts by connecting via satellite when no Wi-Fi or cellular coverage is available. Users must have a clear view of the sky and follow on-screen instructions to contact providers including NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, RACT, and AANT. The satellite feature is free for two years after device activation, but roadside assistance providers charge for their services.
