AXA XL has appointed Donnacha Smyth as its new global chief underwriting officer for casualty, effective November 3. Smyth, with over 30 years of experience and having been with AXA XL since 2007, will focus on driving profitable growth, ensuring underwriting consistency, and developing innovative products. He will also oversee underwriter training and compliance. Additionally, Liberty Specialty Markets has appointed Alexandra Weigel as head of multinational in Europe.
