Columbiana County's 2026 budget boosts funding for local governments but cuts library funds.
The Columbiana County Budget Commission has approved the 2026 budgets, increasing funding for local governments while decreasing it for libraries.
The Local Government Fund (LGF) will grow to $3,287,842, up from $3,126,181, with each entity guaranteed $15,000 plus additional funds based on population.
Libraries will see a reduction to $4,362,795 from $4,451,461.
The city of Salem will receive the largest share of the LGF at $151,064, while the Leetonia Public Library will get $326,337.
