India launches ₹100 crore fund to boost green hydrogen start-ups, aiming for 5 million metric tonnes by 2030.
Indian Minister Pralhad Joshi launched a ₹100 crore fund to support start-ups in green hydrogen innovation at the first Green Hydrogen R&D Conference in New Delhi.
The fund offers up to ₹5 crore per project for pilot initiatives in hydrogen production, storage, transport, and utilization.
This initiative supports the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aiming for 5 million metric tonnes of annual green hydrogen production by 2030, along with 125 GW of renewable energy capacity, ₹8 lakh crore in investments, and 50 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions reduction yearly.
The conference showcased 25 start-ups with innovations in electrolyser manufacturing, AI-driven optimization, and biological hydrogen solutions.
