Two hijackers' sentences doubled to nine and eight years for attacks on elderly victims in Northern Ireland.

Two men, Declan Anthony Collins and Sean Mateer, received doubled jail sentences by the Court of Appeal for a hijacking spree in Northern Ireland. The pair, along with a third man, Robert Carson, were involved in several hijackings and attacks on elderly victims while drunk. Collins' sentence increased from four to nine years, and Mateer's from three years and two months to eight years, due to the severity of the offences.
