NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced an investigation into allegations that LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer attempted to circumvent salary cap rules by providing Kawhi Leonard a $28 million "no-show" endorsement deal through a now-bankrupt company, Aspiration. The league, with outside law firm oversight, will not rush to judgment and will consider penalties including fines, contract voiding, and draft pick forfeiture if violations are found. Ballmer and Leonard have denied wrongdoing.
