Farmers and landowners in Ireland will receive an average of €100,000 each under a new compensation deal for the development of a water pipeline from the River Shannon to Dublin.
The €42 million package, agreed by Uisce Éireann with farming associations, covers 500 landowners and includes payments for early sign-ons, wayleaves, crop losses, and goodwill.
The extended deadline for consent forms is October 7th.
