Singapore is extending its Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES) to 2027 and adjusting it to promote cleaner vehicles, especially electric ones.
Electric vehicles will get rebates, while hybrids will no longer qualify.
The move aims to support Singapore’s goal of having 100% cleaner energy vehicles by 2040 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
