India launches first major girder for Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train, aiming for 2026 completion.

The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) launched the first 40-meter full-span pre-stressed concrete box girder in Maharashtra for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. This marks a significant step in the 156-km Maharashtra section, which includes 135 km of elevated rail. The project, utilizing specialized machinery, aims to be completed by 2026, with initial services between Surat and Bilimora.
