Yankees activate Austin Slater from injured list, sending J.C. Escarra to Triple-A.

The New York Yankees have activated outfielder Austin Slater from the injured list ahead of their series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Slater, a right-handed hitter acquired from the Chicago White Sox in July, was sidelined due to a hamstring strain. His return gives the Yankees an option to face left-handed pitchers. To make room for Slater, rookie catcher J.C. Escarra was sent to Triple-A.
