Four individuals were found safe after an avalanche near Treble Cone Ski Field in Wānaka, New Zealand, on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Emergency services were alerted around 2:30 PM, but the Police Search and Rescue team did not attend the scene as the ski field's response team was on standby. One person suffered minor injuries. The exact cause and circumstances of the avalanche are not yet known.
