Ryanair has increased the size of its free underseat carry-on bags by 20%, effective September 4. Passengers can now bring a 40x30x20 cm bag, which is 33% larger than the EU standard. Each passenger is allowed one free bag that fits under the seat, with additional bags requiring purchase of priority boarding. The new size follows proposed EU rule changes but remains smaller than easyJet's allowance. Non-compliance will result in checked bag fees.
