Wildfire destroys homes, forces evacuations in historic Chinese Camp, California.

A wildfire, known as the 6-5 Fire, rapidly spread across 6.25 square miles in California's historic Chinese Camp Town, forcing evacuations and burning at least five homes. The town, settled by Chinese miners in the 1850s, was among several areas affected by over a dozen fires sparked by lightning on the same day. CalFire is managing the situation and has requested additional resources.
