A New Zealand woman faces up to two years in jail for disruptive behavior on a Sydney to Queenstown flight.

A 50-year-old New Zealand woman is set to face court on September 3 for causing a flight from Sydney to Queenstown to abort take-off in July 2025. She allegedly ignored safety instructions, swore at crew members, and danced in the aisle while intoxicated. Despite being removed by police, her behavior could result in up to two years in prison and a $16,500 fine for obstructing crew members and resisting police.
