NMDC reports a 28% jump in iron ore output, boosting India's largest producer's turnover.

NMDC, India's largest iron ore producer, reported a significant 28% rise in iron ore output to 18.45 million tonnes over five months, ending August. Sales also increased by 14% to 11.52 million tonnes in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025. The company's turnover rose to ₹6,634 crore. August production was 3.37 million tonnes, up from 3.07 million tonnes last year. NMDC expects to produce 50 million tonnes by FY 2025-26.
